Vernon County Senior Center

The Vernon County Senior Center is a member of the Nevada/Vernon County Chamber of Commerce and partners with the local chapter of The United Way. We partner with the Experienced Works program which gives seniors 55 and older the opportunity to work or to be trained for the workforce. We also work with West Central which provides job training for the younger generation.

We serve our community in many different ways, one being to give free rides through the PAR program for seniors, which provides transportation using volunteer drivers for medical appointments.

Seniors and the disabled receive free tax preparation.

Many of our elderly friends take advantage of our food services whether it be our Home Delivered Meal program or Congregate Meals.

Exercise has been a fundemental part of who we are. For many years we have been in partnership with the YMCA which provides a fitness instructor twice a week.
